"In Theory"

"In Theory" is known for applying their unique jazz influence on pop covers as well as their original music. They sing in both French and English, and performances feature the addition of woodwinds like the jazz oboe, a crowd favorite. Consisting of Paula Taylor (vocals, keyboard, oboe, clarinet), Daniel Taylor (guitar), and Thad Lannet (percussion), "In Theory" is based in Tucson, Arizona. Musical influences include Pink Martini, Postmodern Jukebox, Francoise Hardy, Ella Fitzgerald, and Joe Pass. Their cover of "Hang on Little Tomato" was featured on Pink Martini's Instagram page and inspired the "Pink Quarantini" contest in which the band featured their favorite fan covers.
